We have two events coming up that we’re excited about and we hope you will be too. Firstly, the Charlton Community General Election Hustings, which will be held in the Assembly Rooms, Charlton Village, at Sunday 4th June 2017, 2:30pm. This free event is a chance to meet and question all four of the candidates seeking your vote in Greenwich and Woolwich in the general election. All are welcome, whether you’re a member or not.
The Charlton Community Hustings is supported and organised by four local community groups: The Charlton Society, Charlton Central Residents’ Association, Parkside Community Hub, & Valley Hill Community Hub.
Secondly, we know that many Society members were very interested in the work on Charlton’s riverside industrial heritage that was carried out as part of Greenwich Council’s work on the recent Riverside masterplan. We’re very pleased to be able to say that James Hulme, the report’s author, has agreed to host a riverside walk on Sunday 25th June for our members.
