Golden Anniversary Exhibition 2020

Celebrating 50 years of The Charlton Society

It was a great success for The Charlton Society in 2020, albeit a very difficult year, as on Friday October 30th 2020, The Charlton Society launched its Golden Anniversary Village Street Exhibition, celebrating 50 years of The Charlton Society; it featured many pictures of Charlton Village over the decades, centuries even, and were displayed in various shops in the Village. The event was attended by the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Cllr Linda Bird.

We hope you had the opportunity to go and have a look, it was a wonderful example of the community spirit that exists in Charlton Village.

The Charlton Society wishes to extend thanks to all the many participating shops.

Please also see below the Exhibition images in full, they also feature in our annual report.

We are very keen to hear your thoughts and impressions of the Exhibition, please feel feel to send us your feedback here as we are compiling an online visitors’ book. We look forward to hearing from you.

Here’s to the next 50 years of The Charlton Society!
